Lou Luciani, PE, CmfgE has held various positions at Dresser Instrument as Manager of Manufacturing Improvement, Production Management, and Chief Manufacturing Engineer. In this capacity, he directed the activities of manufacturing process improvement and Lean strategies. Previously, Lou had been with United Technologies (Sikorsky Aircraft, Norden Systems) and Bridgeport Machines in Manufacturing Engineering and Production Management. He has over 30 years of experience developing and implementing innovative and pragmatic solutions that resulted in Business Transformation. Lou was a recipient of the prestigious UTC Arthur E. Smith award for orchestrating a manufacturing turn-around at Norden Systems, and the Dresser Industries Trombley Award for materials replenishment at Dresser. As a member of the United Technologies Manufacturing council, he participated in a Carrier division turn-around, utilizing UTC's "Flexible Manufacturing". A native of Connecticut, he is a PE in Manufacturing Engineering and a Certified Manufacturing Engineer in Manufacturing Systems.
